About EltaCrew

EltaCrew is the studio of Android developer elta. I currently run 24 Android apps (including 5 TV remote apps and 1 TV-side receiver app) and 6 web services.

What is on this site

• Apps — every published app, with store links. Most work without sign-up and keep your data on the device.
• Web tools — tools you use straight from the browser: Sitedex (a directory of online tools I selected and categorized myself, described in five languages), a video merger that never uploads your files, a Markdown ↔ HTML converter, an appliance error-code lookup, a Korean government-benefits calendar, and a web SSH client.
• Field notes — numbers I measured and problems I hit while running the apps: ad revenue, Play policy and review, store search rank, implementation traps, web deployment.
• Developer portfolio — career and project history.
• A privacy policy for each app, linked from its Play Store page.

Principles

• No sign-up. Apart from the one app whose job is reading your AdMob account, nothing asks you to log in. Permissions such as location or photos are requested only when you use that feature, and permissions that are declared but unused are removed from the manifest.
• Data stays on the device. Receipt recognition, document scanning and Markdown editing run on-device. Apps that need a server (tick-photo analysis, the benefits catalog, food-recall data) exchange only that data.
• Verified on real devices. Passing on an emulator does not count. Release builds are installed on physical phones and every screen is checked in light/dark and Korean/English before release.
• No interstitials. Interstitial and app-open ads hijack the back button and cover the system bar, so no app uses them. Only banner and native ads.

What I write about

Only what I verified myself: real AdMob and Play Console figures, results reproduced on real devices, answers from Google support, failed attempts and why they failed. I do not repost other people's articles or present unverified claims as fact. When something is a guess, it is labeled as a guess.
